you have the power to make change!
Listen to last night!
The big issue last night was what can we do now, today to start an environmental shift?
1. conserve water
2. avoid plastics
3. reuse
4. waste less
5. teach
6. promote activity through cost/share
And the list went on.
Carrefour today has reusable bags in the UAE.
TheOne is well on the way to re-engineering its plastic to truly break down.
Where is the consciouses of industry?
Change is really in bed with the simple idea.

teacher teach me and get a reward
So in the 1920s teaching might have been a vocation.
Teachers were given great benefits!
Maybe housing, maybe food, a salary.
Teachers were the moral and often intellectual heart of a society.
Today teaching in many ways is given the big slap with a wet fish!
"You don't teach to get rich!"
Uhhh why not?
Do lawyers practice law in the factory model for the fun? Some but the majority are compensated dearly.
Doctors? Sure some are doing it for the humanitarian aspects other are well rolling in it!
I think that the corporate community is benefiting from great educators and feeding them a nice story that you teach for the better good!

Time to re imagine teaching and education and make education the dream and not settle for a patch job of a flawed factory model of 1920...

Mr. Le Pen, the french presidential hopeful would like the French to believe that immigrants could enslave them! Really.

Dr. Denis Hardy was taken for USD 26,000, YES 26, 000 american Dollars!

The scam is to buy shares in INTEL.
The story that is spun suggests that SONY and INTEL are going to have a link up and the shares will fly!
The moral of this story?
IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS!

OK so we had our first look at Canada week with Andrew Tice, chairman of the Canadian Business Council.

And interesting point from Andrew, you do not have to be a Canadian to join the business council!
Pepsi has a new slogan, "more happy", oh please my children can do better than that!
And finally the minister of the economy rolled back the increase in cinema ticket prices!
1st increase in 6 years went from 30 to 35 dirhams!
The minister has not talked about etisalat and its directory assistance fees 1 dirham for 1st minute and 50 fils for each additional minute.
Nor has the Dubai Islamic Bank's new fee for services on current accounts caught any attention.
The point we had was simple.
If we are going to have a ministry reversing unjustifiable increases for commodities and services shouldn't this be an across the board activity and not adhoc?
Just a thought.

Feb 4 Traffic
So the metro is being called the traffic beater!
Well the ruler of Dubai says that creativity is the way to solve the traffic problems.
Zaffar, thanks for the email, said maybe we need to simply get people living closer to where they work!
Robin suggests that business house its workforce in closer proximity to the job.
The reality is that traffic is just as much about vehicles as it is about housing and commerce.
Joe hit the nail on the head.
Maybe what we need to be thinking about is making the drive to and from work an experience and in that vein we can reshape traffic flows!
One thing is for sure people sure want intelligent distraction on the road!
Creativity is abound time to tap it!
