This is a very contentious issue, and i need to ponder over it well before i give my opinion, but I've already made my decision.I would never give up an organ, even if it was to a dear family member or a friend, because these organs werent simply placed into my body. I know that somehow i may save a life, but I would never risk my own life to save one. This may sound inhuman and selfish, but what about me?. I have to think of the harms that I may incur before I make a hard decision as such. I would never part with my eyes, or kidneys, would you ever!?
I think that most people who give up their organs look for fame, money or simply recognition. What if, for instance, you body somehow suddenly is in need of that organ that you'd given up, would you then start queueing yourself in the line with those in need of organ transplantation or would you go back to the one that you'd donated to and take it back from him?. What if he is already dead?.
