March 29--- UAE banks hold customers hostage?

We had a great talk about how banks are and are not serving us well in the UAE.

The problem is people have no place to turn for help, or to tell their story!

I had a grand talk about how Mashreq Bank froze my account because they thought I had been fired, I had and have not! It took a weekend to sort it out and one day when the bank was open but not interested in solving the problem without more calls from me.

Saad Hakim Mashreq's customer service and public relations point person called Nightline to say sorry! Nice, finally!

And Mr. Saad has offered to help other customers to sort out their problem.
