Sports a waste of time?

So is there really much of a difference between baseball and cricket? Tim said yes while I can reduce it to chasing balls. Not much difference if you ask me they are both a bore that a lot of people love. The other question was how do we get people out to watch the local sport and does it matter if it it is not sponsored? I think we pretty much discard anything that doesn't have millions of promotion behind it. How do we fix it? 1% of professional event promotion cost is put back into the local scene! Tim asked if it is that easy, YES it is! Why don't we do it? Becasue we don't think it is possible!
