A must have pingpong table, plays music to the beat of the game!
Seattle-based designer Mark Wheeler embedded contact microphones on ping pong paddles, hid an Arduino in a retro radio, and designed an app, all to get a ping pong table to play music to the rhythm of a game. The idea of Ping Pong FM, as Wheeler and his team call it, is to play fast enough that the song’s true tempo is maintained. It’s high stakes. If a player misses the ball, the music stops completely. That's no fun.
The microphone in the paddles picks up on the reverberation of the ball making contact, which then is processed by the Arduino in the retro radio. If it registers that hit, a custom app on a computer then controls the music playing and adjusts the tempo to how fast players are volleying. The real beauty of the project is the accompanying video, which you must watch. It’s embedded above. Enjoy this glorious weekend day.

Salesforce not after twitter!
But maybe a japanese buyer!
Salesforce.com, the enterprise software maker that had been the most likely bidder for the embattled social media company, has declined to pursue a takeover.
“In this case we’ve walked away,” Marc Benioff, Salesforce’s chief executive, told The Financial Times in an interview published on Friday.
As Salesforce exits, virtually no other suitors seem likely to emerge. Rumors of potential other bidders — Google, Disney and Apple were among the names floated — quickly evaporated.
That leaves Twitter largely on its own, at least in the near term. And the move will please Salesforce investors, many of whom detested the idea of a pricey and distracting bid for the social network.
Shares of Twitter, which had stabilized on the hopes that Salesforce might still make a bid, dropped about 5 percent in afternoon trading on Friday, to $16.88.
And shares of Salesforce rose about 5 percent, to $74.27.
Mr. Benioff confirmed his remarks but declined to comment further. A spokeswoman for Twitter, Kristin Binns, declined to comment.
The interview all but confirms that Twitter will need to pursue a self-help plan rather than looking to a new owner that could shield it from the skepticism of stock market investors.

Smart Sensor for the perfect cup of tea
Given the quantity of gadgets specifically designed to brew the perfectcoffee, it's easy to think the tech world hates tea. Thankfully, 42Tea's new brewing sensor is designed to let people get as snobby about chai as most people do when arguing the merits of Arabica versus Robusta. The device is a small white cube that, along with a companion app, will hold your hand through the brewing method necessary for specific blends of tea. You'll still have to make the cucumber sandwiches yourself, unfortunately.

Windows 10 Tab gets Instagram App before iPad BUT it is only with a touch screen
Instagram brought its filter-driven social network to Windows 10 mobile back in the spring and now it's doing the same for PCs and tablets running Microsoft's OS. The photo and video app is now available for desktops and slates, meaning its now an option across all Windows 10 devices and a true universal app. Just like the versions for other operating systems, Direct, Explore and Stories are all tools here for viewing photos and videos alongside capture and editing features.
There is one caveat with the Windows 10 version of Instagram. You'll need a PC or tablet with a touchscreen in order to upload your images or videos. Yes, it sounds strange, but at least Microsoft's Surface line will give you full functionality. "Keep in mind that other devices running Windows 10 may not support certain features, like the ability to capture and upload photos and videos," the app's page in the Window's Store explains.
