mar 28 your action

Dubai is starting a building development on one of its nicest pieces of beach!

And the general population is asking why and trying to tell the government it is not happy!

But there is limited outlet for these things.

So am adhoc petition has been started!

Over 3600 signatures and counting!

WOW!

Direct public participation is not so common in the UAE!

Go To: www.petitionspot.com/petitions/savejumeirah

Alternatively www.dm.gov.ae and the "have your say" area is a place to talk directly to the government!

The one thing that is for sure is people in the UAE want a voice and are looking for ways to be heard!

050-535-3694

As per our phone conversation please find below the link for the Dhaka
project.

http://homepages.advance-internet.com/d0011075

Regarding the project in Ashman ( I don't have a nice presentation as the
Dhaka one)
It is called the Manar Imam Charity School
In the area of Khamedia - Asham

There are around 50 kids attending school and they are part of a small poor
village.

We are trying to gather as much as possible before 20th April in order to go
there and give them the things.
Medicines, cloths, school materials
Some friends that are nurses will check the kids, give advice to mothers or
relatives.

I hope this information proves useful and that we keep contact.

Best regards,

Alexandra

Mohanned Awad of Concord-corodex was my guest and he had more than a mouthful to say, very cool.

1. hair falling out? get a water softener.
2. water is safe to drink from the tap.
3. why not get a filter it helps witht he stuff from the pipes!

the food we trash!

WOW 1/3 of food bought in the UK is in the trash at the end of the week.

What is the situation in Dubai?

Laura agrees and said they took on house help and a whole lot of difference has come about.

When we asked about hotel food waste and passing that food on the story is a bit different.

1. not much waste at hotels
2. to transport the food is too costly and thus not done!

So at this time hotels either feed their own or trash what is left over....

And then there was an interesting call from a teacher in the UAE public school system!

banks are to blame for all the bad debt!

Some say you and I are to blame for debt default.

Others say the lending institutions are to blame.

What do you think.

The Chief of Dubai police thinks the banks need to do more to educate and accommodate the person who borrows money.

Thoughts?

Labour Law Draft

So why is it that so few people in the UAE are looking at the new draft labour law that is posted online?

Apathy?

Lazy?

I cannot figure it out becasue it is a chance to get involved!

Maybe we talk a good game but really don't want to commit to anything!

Organ donation!

Are you willing to give up an organ or 2 if you could?

PIA is it safety? Is it business?

The EU has banned PIA's Airbus 310 fleet and its aging 747s.

driving culture change now

We need to change the driving culture int he UAE today!

WE!

You and me!

We all need to start with ourselves first!

RESPECT, Manners, patience, thinking.

If onbe person is killed on the roads in the UAE it is one person too many.

We can not rest and wait for the Police, RTA and the government initiatives to cure all because they cannot change you and I if we close our eyes.

What are you personally doing to change your driving culture?

Start the transformation now, take responsibility!
