Volkswagen Sedric (Self-Driving Car) at Cityscape
Dubai, UAE 11 September 2017 – Volkswagen Group’s first concept car featuring an integrated mobility concept for the road traffic of tomorrow – Sedric, will make its Middle East debut at Cityscape Global 2017. Volkswagen Group will be showcasing Sedric (Self-Driving Car) to visitors from 11-13th September on the Dubai Land Department stand.
The concept vehicle was first presented at the Group Evening in Geneva on 6 March, followed by an appearance at Auto Shanghai April. The Concept Car has been developed from scratch for autonomous driving. Sedric provides a concrete insight into the innovative form of individual mobility that can be used by everyone but which can nevertheless be geared to personal needs and aspirations – available at the touch of a button, easy, sustainable, convenient, and safe.
The Volkswagen Group has always democratized individual mobility in many countries of the world with its brands. The company will also make advanced technology and safety available for all with its new mobility concept. Sedric is a central component of the integrated mobility solution. In conjunction with its equally innovative control system, Sedric is giving entirely new meaning to the concept of autonomous driving. The touch of a button suffices. And the self-driving automobile comes along and takes its passengers conveniently and safely to their destination.
-Bugatti Chiron ( I will take a Figo standard please!)
0-400-0kph in 42 seconds. New Record set by Bugatti Chiron - although to be fair, has any other car previously even tried to set such a record? It's actually 41.96 seconds, it covered 3.112km and it was driven by F1 and IndyCar racer Juan Pablo Montoya. The stopping was helped by the airbrake putting 900kg of downforce on the rear axle - the stopping force was 2g. The Chiron reached 400kph in 32.6seconds in 2.6km.

The Chevy Bolt EV has only been on sale nationwide for a short while, but it's already on pace to outsell every other electric caron the market, save for the Tesla Model S. This is a huge win for Chevy, especially considering that only about 40 percent of its U.S. dealers have the model in stock. Now that production of the Tesla Model 3 is ramping up, it will be interesting to see if Chevy can carry this momentum forward for the rest of the year.
