Help Team Moe and Matt raise a mountain of cash to tackle malaria
Team Moe n Matt will be going up, up, up to the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro this February, Africa’s highest point at 5,895 metres. Leading the expedition will be Arab mounting-climbing pioneer, Zed Al Refai, the first Arab to summit Mt. Everest and complete the Seven Summits challenge. Other trekkers attempting the ascent include businessmen from Europe and the Middle East, all with a thirst for adventure.
To reach any summit at 5,895 metres above sea level is a major physical and psychological challenge, especially when that summit rises more than 4,600m from the plains of northern Tanzania (making it the world’s highest free standing peak).
This will be the biggest physical challenge that myself, Moe, and my team of trekkers will face. We’ll be hindered by sleepless nights, pushing through gale-force winds, contending with stifling jungle, snakes and spiders, battling temperatures of minus 15 and suffering altitude sickness, dehydration and aching muscles. Our lungs will be strained to bursting in the thin cold air and even a shoelace-tying attempt could lay the fittest person low on Kilimanjaro’s upper reaches.
But we are determined to summit the highest peak in Africa and raise money to fight malaria, Africa’s biggest killer.
About 3.3 billion people – half of the world's population – are at risk of malaria. In Tanzania alone (the home of Mount Kilimanjaro), malaria is the leading killer of children with one child dying EVERY 30 SECONDS… that’s over one million lives tragically lost every single year.
By the time you've read this, a child in Africa will have died of malaria.
Support our every step and stumble up to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro by sponsoring us and donating money to our cause. Every penny counts and even a small amount of money can make a big difference and help protect and save lives.
ALL donations received will go directly to Malaria Consortium – a charity that is dedicated to the control of malaria and works exceptionally hard to ease the devastation caused by the killer disease. Just £5 will pay for a net to protect two lives and £100 will pay for effective life-saving malaria treatment for 200 children.
You can donate from anywhere in the world as long as you have a credit/debit card. You can only donate in pounds sterling (£GBP), so please work out how much you would like to donate in pounds and JustGiving will charge the equivalent amount in your local currency. On a less somber note, Matt will attempt the highest chicken dance in the world at the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You saw him ‘Sheikhing his thing’ back at sea level, now witness him go all out at the Roof of Africa. Keep in mind that our Facebook group has to reach over 2,000 members for him to perform it.

On a hot summer afternoon, on the streets of Santa Barbara as still as the night, quiet before the storm, the crowd will arrive on the next morning and the tarmac will be burning with rubber for the rest of the week, gasoline will fill the yet aromatic air with fumes of fury...
Its Gumball time again!!! This year for the first time ever, myself Moe and my best buddy since childhood Matt will be kicking off the event with a spectacular show of class and style through the streets of
For the past 10 years Gumball 3000 has gained a lot of fans and spectators from all over the world. This year's Gumball has something different to offer. Moe n Matt will raise the bar to a totally different level. We will be implementing our long planned Gumball 3000 trip replicating Prince Abdul Bin Falafel from the 36-hour non-stop race across America in the Cannonball Run produced in 1981. We plan to take-off from Santa Barbara to Miami and only stop for refueling and of course maybe sleep.
In our quest across America we will imitate our character as Prince Abdul Bin Falafel, dressed in our traditional Sheikh attire, we will pursue the quest to avoid being stopped by police using our on-dashboard radar detectors, police scanners and a cool box filled with just ''Red Bull''.
Both of us inspired for our love of cars and longstanding friendship we hope to event a similar role to one our favorite movies. Hopefully with the least amount of tickets, violations and arrests…..
