Part of the problem we face in Dubai is simply the vast number of cultures and their idea of what hygiene is.

The municipality has a grading system from A to E and fines to go with the grades and violations.
The number of food places with an A rating? 2-3% ONLY!
There was a call to name and shame those who are poor at hygiene and name those at the top.
There is a 10% increase in the number of food establishments in Dubai each year!
11,000 people dealing with food go for municipality training yearly.
But what we still need to see in the UAE is HACCP or critical control point coverage for food distribution.
